Liz is the Director and an Accredited Practising Dietitian & Nutritionist with 20 years experience. Through various private practice, community and corporate settings, Liz has developed specialised skills for weight management and individualised nutrition counselling. Liz has a personal interest in lower carbohydrate approach to support metabolic health and has helped set thousands of clients on a path towards improved health and wellbeing. Liz can help with Meal planning individualised to your unique preferences and utilises both traditional and Non-Diet Approach to weight concern, catering from inactive to high performance athletes.

Nutritionist

ABOUT

Having studied Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics) Ymke is able to apply her knowledge and people skills to assist us to assist you! She is a valuable part of our team and is here to support you on the phone with bookings and enquiries, and also online support. Ymke is also passionate about creating useful, evidence-based dietary resources and making them accessible to our clients through consultations, meal plans, books and social media. Ymke hopes to one day complete her Nutrition & Dietetics studies and become a qualified Dietitian. Ymke is available to conduct body composition assessments using non-invasive bioelectric impedance technology (BIA) at our Tweed office.

Meet Melanie

Dietitian

ABOUT

Melanie is passionate about food and cooking. She became a dietitian to combine her love of food and her desire to help others. She has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University as well as Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Food and Nutrition from Charles Sturt University. She has previously worked in private practice in the Ipswich and Western Suburbs areas, looking after a diverse range of patients, including a number of DVA and NDIS patients. Melanie enjoys helping people optimise their health and wellbeing through improving their lifestyle. She provides patients with evidence-based nutrition strategies to help them meet their goals through practical dietary recommendations and sustainable health and lifestyle changes. Her interest and experience covers a broad range of conditions including; weight management, diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance and metabolic syndrome, PCOS, cancer, gastro-intestinal conditions, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular issues. She enjoys working with people across the lifespan, from children to the elderly. When she is not at work, she is busy looking after her two young daughters, collecting recipes books and trying new restaurants. She is also busy teaching her family and friends about healthy eating!

Carly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who takes a holistic approach to nutrition and lifestyle changes. She helps her clients understand the ‘why’ behind making positive lifestyle changes but also helps with the ‘how’ by providing realistic nutrition solutions. Carly helps her clients to rediscover the joy of eating wholesome and delicious food, whilst catering for individual medical requirements and preferences. She can assist with a wide range of nutritional issues including: • Metabolic health including weight management and bariatric nutrition, insulin resistance, PCOS and lower carbohydrate approach (LCHF) • Gut health including intolerances, diverticular disease, FODMAPS, and coeliac disease • Eating disorders including binge eating disorder and emotional eating • Chronic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer • Life stage nutrition including nutrition for seniors and women’s health Carly has an interest in helping her clients change their eating behaviours, whilst taking the stress out of food choices. She offers a non-judgemental approach to weight and food concerns and encourages people to become inquisitive about their bodies and how food impacts their health, energy and vitality. She understands what it is like to balance a busy family and work schedule so takes a caring, realistic and practical approach with her clients. Carly graduated from Griffith University after studying a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD). She currently works in both private practice and at the Gold Coast Private Hospital as a clinical dietitian and is the Nutritionist at the Gwinganna Health Retreat on the Gold Coast. She has completed additional training in the gut microbiome, food intolerances/FODMAPS, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT-e) for behaviour change and eating disorders. Carly also sits on various committees with Dietitians Australia.
